Formed in a Milwaukee college dorm room in 1988, The Gufs emerged from a gritty, thriving local music scene and built their reputation through a grassroots approach: writing songs, packing clubs, and taking their music on the road.
The band — Goran Kralj (vocals, piano, guitar), Morgan Dawley (guitar), Dejan Kralj (bass), Scott Schwebel (drums), and later Brian Pettit (percussion) — spent years cultivating a devoted Midwest following while releasing independent records, including Staring Into the Sun, Songs of Life, and Collide. Strong college-radio support and a growing hometown audience eventually led to a deal with Atlantic Records in the mid-1990s.
All guests under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian and supervised at all times while inside the building.
