The award winning Canadian film based on the story of the life and times of Bill Miner in Kamloops, 'The Grey Fox', is coming to the Paramount Theatre!🐺Old West highwayman Bill Miner, known to Pinkertons as "The Gentleman Bandit," is released in 1901 after 33 years in prison. A genial and charming old man, he re-enters a world unfamiliar to him, and returns to the only thing that gives him purpose — robbery.⛓️💥💰
Followed by a post-film panel exploring “Fact and Fiction in the Making of the Bill Miner Legend.” Led by Ken Favrholdt (local historian), Dr. Peter Murphy and Dr. Sean Donlan will discuss an examination of the real-life story behind one of British Columbia’s most notorious historical figures and how his legend has been shaped over time.🎤
