Sometimes the sweetest ideas come from little hearts.
A few days ago, our three daughters, ages 3, 5, and 8, collectively asked me the cutest question:
“Mommy, can we invite all of Maine to have a teddy bear picnic with us?”
As their mama, there was only one answer.
“I’m going to do my very best.”
So here we are, extending their invitation to you.
On Friday, August 1st from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, we’d love for families from all across Maine to join us for a simple afternoon at Capital Park.
Bring your favorite teddy bear, pack a picnic lunch, grab a blanket, bring some bubbles and a favorite book, and come spend a little time together.
No agenda. No performances. No schedules to keep.
Just families, teddy bears, fresh air, new friendships, and the kind of simple childhood memories that stay with us forever.
Whether you’re coming with one child, a whole crew of kids, grandparents, or friends, there will always be room on the grass for one more picnic blanket.
Our girls are so excited to see how many teddy bears might gather in one place, and they can’t wait to meet new friends from all over our beautiful state.
