🏁 THE GREAT KĀPITI RACE – SUNDAY 7 MARCH 2027 🏁Kāpiti… THE RACE IS ON!
Grab your team and get ready for a day of clues, challenges, puzzles, mystery locations and probably a fair bit of ridiculousness as you make your way around the Kāpiti Coast.
Think adventure race meets treasure hunt — but this is NOT a fitness race! You don't need to be super fit, fast or particularly coordinated 😂 You just need a team that's ready to have some fun.
🗺️ HOW WILL IT WORK?
You'll start the day at our official starting point, where your team will receive your first clue.
Solve it correctly and it'll lead you to your next location somewhere around Kāpiti.
When you arrive, you might need to:
🧩 Solve a puzzle
🎯 Complete a challenge
🔎 Find something hidden
📸 Take a photo or video
🤪 Do something completely ridiculous
📍 Check in at a local business or location
🗺️ Work out where your next clue is sending you
Complete it and you're onto the next one!
Expect to discover local businesses, attractions, parks, sports facilities and places around Kāpiti you may never have visited before.
👨👩👧👦 WHO CAN ENTER?
Teams will be 2–5 people and kids are absolutely welcome!
This is designed to be something families, couples, friends and workmates can all do.
You will need your own vehicle to travel between some checkpoints, and at least one team member will need to be an adult.

DATE: Sunday 7 March 2027
TIME: Approximately 10am–4pm
LOCATION: All around the Kāpiti Coast
TEAM SIZE: 2–5 people
🏆 AND YES… THERE WILL BE PRIZES!
We'll have major prizes, spot prizes and plenty of opportunities to win things throughout the day.
And winning won't necessarily just be about being the fastest. 👀
