This October, Alton’s historic downtown transforms into a full-scale Halloween bash free, open to all, and built out for those who want to rock out with the spirits.From 12pm-6pm State Street and 3rd Street will be closed and turned into an immersive experience.
The event kicks off at noon with the Howl-a-Ween Pet Parade, where costumed pets and their humans take over the streets in true Alton fashion.
The momentum continues with a live performance by headlining act The Steve Ewing Band, echoing down our brick streets.
Throughout the day, visitors can explore 30+ curated vendors, while listening to Psychedelic Symphony as they take the stage providing the background tunes while you shop.
A costume contest follows, offering CA$H prizes. Celebrity judging will be led by Hollywood FX artist and film producer Jeff Lewis, most recently recognized for filming Herbert West: Reanimator right here in Alton, and Kshemikki from K-she 95. Dress to impress in your Halloween best. Costume Contest with Cash Prizes. Registration hosted inside Mooneyham art Until 5 pm.
The event and evening rounds off with the costume contest awards!
