About this Event
Community Leaf Gathering at Green's Mill 🍂
Join us at Green's Mill for a community leaf gathering event!
We're inviting local residents and volunteers to help clear fallen leaves from the grounds of Green's Mill to provide essential access for vital repair work at this historic Nottingham landmark.
Come along, enjoy some fresh air, meet others in the community and lend a hand in caring for this much-loved local site.
No gardening experience is necessary, everyone is welcome!
Optional University Research Study
This event also provides an opportunity to contribute to a PhD research project at the University of Nottingham, exploring community environmental stewardship and how people interact with fallen leaves as a potential sustainable resource.
Attendees (who are over the ages of 18) will be invited to participate in a short research study involving questionnaires before and after the leaf gathering activity. The study aims to better understand people's perceptions of fallen leaf waste, their experiences of participating in community environmental activities and attitudes towards reusing natural resources. The study is a pilot and all comments are welcome.
Participation in the research is entirely optional. Everyone is welcome to attend and help with the leaf gathering, regardless of whether they choose to take part in the study.
