The Golden Ghost Painting Competition returns for its third year on January 23, 2027!This year we have an all-new judging system and some brand new judges!
Scott Pulver - Head Judge of Technique - The 15-time Golden Ghost winner has decided to give the rest of you a chance, and has graciously accepted the invite to judge this competition. His role will be to judge your model purely on its technical execution.
Peter Hogan - Head Judge of Wow-Factor - This three-time Golden Ghost judge has seen more cool miniatures, games, conventions, and dioramas than you could hope to see in three lifetimes. He's also been on enough government conference calls to tell you the cold hard truth of what you need to work on. His role will be to judge your model purely on its aesthetic value. Something can be very technical, but still be boring to look at (think ski jumping).
Greg Hogan - Tiebreaker Judge - If scores remain tied after the combined scores of the other judges, I will make the final decision.
The categories for this year are as follows:
- Fantasy Single
- Fantasy Large
- Sci-fi Single
- Sci-fi Large
- Army
- Diorama
- Youth
- Open
- Unending War
- Factory New
