The Huntington Beach Mid-Singles Ward is celebrating a Halloween night packed with dancing, games, food, contests and a promise that you won’t get ghosted here!👻🕺💃🎃 Saturday, October 31 | 6–11 PM📍 516 19th Street, Huntington Beach
We will be “ghosting” this at Dan Harker’s home, where we held the 4th of July party. There should be plenty of street parking available this time.
What to expect when you arrive:
🔥 Fire pit — Front of the home, socialize, stay by the fire and roast some S’mores, will start this when it gets dark.
💃 Dance floor — Main living room, DJ Spindy has an updated playlist to show off, come ready to dance! This will kick off at approximately 7:30 or 8 pm.
🛁 Hot tub — Not dressing up? Feel free to lounge and relax!🩳🩱🫧, available all night.
🎯 Games & Halloween activities—back living room, featuring donut bobbing.
🏖️ 4 blocks from the beach — about a 5-minute walk.
🎃 COSTUMES
👻Let’s be modest (LDS standards)
🧟 WE WILL BE SERVING UP:
🧟 Mummy Meatballs — meatballs, various seasonings🌭 Halloweenies — Barbecue smokies🍩 Donuts for our bobbing activity — Featuring donuts from local small businesses
🍴 ORGANIZED POTLUCK
This is not a dinner, but hope this can be a successful collaboration of fun, festive eats.
If you are not entering your food item for a contest, here are some ideas, but not limited to bringing:
🔥 S’mores ingredients —
3 volunteers to each bring one box of graham crackers, 3-5 volunteers to each bring a packet of Hersey’s chocolate bars (6 pack), 2 volunteers to bring one bag of jumbo marshmallows. *please reach out or comment if you can bring one of these items.
🥖 rolls or any type of bread— to go with the meatballs/smokies
🥤 Drinks—2 liter, case of soda, water, juice
🥨 Appetizer/dessert —anything you’d like to bring, chips, fruit, veggies, salad, charcuterie spread, cookies, brownies, cakes.
🍭🍬Trick or Treat candy—we expect some trick or treaters, any wrapped candy can be a potluck item.
🏆 HALLOWEEN CONTESTS, determined around 9 pm.
👻 Best Costume🥨 Most festive Appetizer (mummy hot dogs, can anyone create that, or something else unique?)🍰 Most creative & delicious Dessert
Like last month’s pool party, let’s help clean up and take back our potluck items and any leftovers home to eliminate excessive waste at one property.
🎃 SURF CITY SPOOKTACULAR
From 4–7 PM, Main Street will be hosting the Surf City Spooktacular nearby, with various Halloween activities. Come early, check it out, then make your way over to Dan’s!
