About this Event
For one night, the historic Colchester Train Station becomes the scene of a M**der!
This Halloween season, step inside the historic Colchester Train Station for an immersive M**der Mystery Paint Night set in 1895. Create a haunting painting while secrets are revealed, evidence appears, suspects begin to turn on one another, and somewhere among you, a killer is hiding.
Choose to take on a featured character with secrets and clues of your own, or simply join the investigation as a passenger detective. No acting experience is needed, and character participation is completely optional. Either way, you'll question suspects, examine evidence and piece together the mystery before making your final accusation.
Throughout the evening, enjoy complimentary wine and a grazing table while the station transforms with candlelight, train whistles, vintage pieces, telegrams, old photographs and evidence hidden throughout the scene. We'll have 1895-inspired props and a themed photo area for photos with your finished painting.
Want to make a night of it? Guests are encouraged, but absolutely not required, to dress for 1895. Think Victorian dresses, waistcoats, suspenders, newsboy caps, hats, lace, boots or your own interpretation of a mysterious turn-of-the-century train passenger. We'll also have a selection of props available for anyone who wants to get into character once they arrive.
And pay close attention, the evening ends with prizes for Best Detective, Best Character, Best 1895 Look and Best Painting before the truth of the The Ghost Train murderer is finally revealed. BYOB is welcome for 21+.
Your ticket includes: the guided painting and all supplies, fun interactive M**der mystery experience, character and detective materials, complimentary wine, grazing table, themed props for photo opportunities, plus prizes and a few surprises along the way.
Come to paint. Come to investigate. Come in costume if you dare. Just don't trust everyone sitting beside you.
