About this Event
The GapBuster Gala, our 26th Anniversary celebration, takes place on Saturday, October 24, 2026 at 6:00 PM at 1150 Carnation Dr, Rockville, MD. This formal evening brings together community leaders, business professionals, educators, and advocates for a night of impact, inspiration, and celebration.
The evening will feature:
- A formal dinner experience
- Live performances celebrating the talent and spirit of our students
- A curated silent auction with exclusive items and experiences
- A special graduation ceremony honoring our YouthBuild Reentry students as they earn their GEDs and complete their construction training
For 26 years, GapBuster has delivered results that speak for themselves. Over 95% of our students attend college, with a graduation rate above 98%. More than $1 million in scholarships has been awarded to alumni who have gone on to Harvard, Howard, Spelman, MIT, and institutions around the world. Over 750 students have traveled internationally through our programs.
This is a nonprofit fundraiser. Every ticket purchased directly supports our core programs, including the Leaders-in-Training (LIT) Program, STEAM Enrichment through NSBE Jr., SAT Preparation, Workforce Development, and the GapBuster Ghana Program.
