About this Event
The Galloway Gathering Tour is returning this November, with Galloway Cheddar teaming up with Scottish charity Food Train to bring communities together through free live music and shared meals.
Following the success of last year’s tour, the Scottish cheddar brand will visit Johnstonebridge, Gargunnock, Midmar and Laggan, giving local people the opportunity to meet their neighbours and enjoy an evening together as the nights draw in.
At each stop, attendees will enjoy a live performance from acclaimed musician Anna Massie, a multi-instrumentalist and presenter of BBC Radio Scotland’s Travelling Folk, alongside hearty, cheesy meals made using Galloway Cheddar - all completely for free.
The tour forms part of the wider Galloway Gathering Project, the brand’s ongoing initiative using food and shared experiences to help tackle food poverty and loneliness across Scotland.
Food Train helps older people access food and stay connected to their communities through grocery deliveries, meal sharing and befriending. Its work combines practical support with companionship, sharing the Galloway Gathering Project’s aim of tackling loneliness through food and social connection.
