About this Event
The Future We Build: Cities, Climate and the Intensification Challenge is a half-day symposium during International Climate Action in November 2026. As climate change, urban intensification, infrastructure investment, and planning reform reshape our cities, the symposium provides a forum to explore how research, policy, and practice can work together to create climate-resilient, liveable, and sustainable urban futures across Aotearoa New Zealand. Through keynote presentations, doctoral research showcases, and industry insights, the symposium will highlight innovative approaches to urban climate adaptation and foster collaboration between academia, practitioners, policymakers, mana whenua, and communities.
