production from Newark’s award-winning theatre company.
Sheffield is a city on the move, but when four steelworkers (Gaz, Dave, Gerald and Lomper) are made redundant to pave the way for 'progress', their world suddenly becomes very static.
The same faces in the dole queue, days merging together and any prospect of real employment is an out of reach pipe-dream.
Into this mix come two other men, retired ‘Horse’ and self-employed Guy, and a seductively genius way to earn a few quid!
The setting is Marsh Lane Working Men's Club, October 1990, bingo, meat raffles, dodgy pub singers and DJs are alive and well in this tiny corner of Sheffield.
