The Forge of Giants 2027💥 Who will be crowned the next Forge of Giants Max Deadlift Champion? 💥
The stage is set. The bar will be loaded. The only thing left is to find out who has the strength to claim the title.
Will a new name rise to the top, or will someone make history with an unforgettable pull?
Who will become the next Forge of Giants Max Deadlift Champion? 🏆🔥
Event one Max Deadlift
Each athlete must begin at the designated opening weight for their category. Competitors must successfully complete the opening lift before progressing to heavier attempts. Each athlete will have a total of three lifts, consisting of the designated opening lift followed by two additional lift attempts of the athlete’s choosing. Failure to complete any lift will result in the end of that athlete’s attempt.
All deadlifts must be performed using a conventional stance only; sumo deadlifts are not permitted. No tacky or adhesive substances
may be used. Each lift must be fully locked out at the top, with hips and knees extended and shoulders back, and the athlete must wait for the refs down signal before lowering the bar. Deadlift suits are permitted, and lifting straps may be used; however, hook straps are not allowed.
* Women’s 140kg
* Juniors 170kg
* Novice 220kg
* Intermediate 260kg
* Open. 300kg
Event two axle press for reps
Athletes must start with their hands off the bar and then press the designated weight for their category from floor to overhead within a 60-second time limit for as many repetitions as possible.
All repetitions must be fully locked out overhead under control, with elbows extended and the athlete standing upright. Feet must remain parallel with each other during the lift. Athletes will receive a down signal from the referee for each successful repetition and must wait for the signal before lowering the axle for the next rep. Any repetition that does not meet the refs standards will be called a no rep and will not count toward the athlete’s total.
If an athlete has any issues or limitations with lockout, they must speak with the referee before the event begins and explain the issue prior to competing
No tacky
grip tops are allowed during this event.
* Women’s 55kg
* Juniors 75kg
* Novice 95kg
* Intermediate 105kg
* Open. 125kg
Event three sandbag to shoulder medley.
Athletes have 75 seconds to complete the course. At the final implement, they will perform shoulder-to-rep repetitions. If they do not reach the final implement, their score will be based on the last successful shoulder.
Athletes must lift each sandbag to the shoulder and achieve a full standing position with one arm clearly off the bag for the repetition to count. They must then wait for the referee’s down signal before lowering the sandbag.
No tacky or grip tops are allowed during this event.
* Women’s 40kg,60kg,80kg&100kg
* Juniors 40kg,60kg,80kg&100kg

Event four wrecking Ball hold
athletes must stand on a platform and hold a suspended weight (the “wrecking ball”) for as long as possible. Each athlete is assigned a specific load. The rules are strict: no tacky, no supportive suits, and no gloves are allowed.
At the start, athletes receive a lift signal indicating when to pick up and stabilize the weight. The attempt continues as a timed hold, and the athlete’s result ends the moment the weight touches the floor or they lose control and drop it.
Scoring is based purely on time under tension—the longer the athlete maintains control of the weight, the better their result
* Women’s 110kg
* Juniors 150kg
* Novice 160kg
* Intermediate 190kg
* Open. 220kg
Event five Van Load
The Van Loading event consists of a timed strength and conditioning challenge in which athletes begin at a designated start point and sprint to a series of implements positioned at a fixed distance. Each implement must be lifted, carried or run back, and loaded into the designated van before the athlete returns to the start point to repeat the process with the next implement.
Each category contains three implements of varying weights, and all implements within a category must be completed in sequence before progressing to the next. Athletes are not permitted to use tacky, gloves, or any grip-enhancing clothing or equipment, ensuring all lifts are performed under strict bare-hand conditions.
The event is contested against the clock with a strict sixty-second time limit, within which athletes must complete as much of the loading sequence as possible or finish all prescribed implements if achieved within the time cap. Load an implement into the van from three different distances:
* 10m
* 6m
* 2m
All work must be completed within 60 seconds.

Max Deadlift Cash Prize Challenge
The Max Deadlift event will be run as a 3-attempt competition.
Each athlete will nominate three lifts, with their final successful lift counting towards the results. The athlete with the heaviest successful deadlift will win the cash prize.
Prize Format
The prize fund will increase based on the winning lift:
* £1 per kilogram lifted by the winning athlete.
Example:
* Winning deadlift: 300 kg
* Cash prize: £300
The heavier the winning lift, the bigger the payout—so there’s even more incentive to go for a huge number!
Female Category
The women’s competition will have its own separate prize fund, using the exact same format:
* £1 per kilogram lifted by the winning female athlete.
This means both the men’s and women’s winners will earn a cash prize directly based on the weight they successfully deadlift.
Good luck to everyone competing, and let’s see some massive lifts
