About this Event
The FLY Money Playbook is an interactive financial empowerment 12-month workshop series designed to help students (ages 15-24) build confidence with money and develop skills they can use now and in the future.
Through engaging activities, real-world conversations, and practical exercises, participants will explore essential financial concepts including financial terminology, budgeting, saving, credit, and smart money habits. This isn’t your typical financial literacy class—we’re making money make sense!
Join us at Johnson C. Smith University: The New Science Building for the first three interactive Fall Saturday sessions, each held from 10:00 AM–1:00 PM:
- Saturday, October 24 | Talk Money to Me — Get familiar with the financial terms you actually need to know and learn what they mean for your money.
- Saturday, November 7 | Secure the Bag...Then Keep It — Explore practical strategies for budgeting, saving, managing expenses, and making your money work for you.
- Saturday, December 12 | Credit: Know the Score — Learn how credit works, what impacts your credit score, and how to begin building and protecting your credit.
Participants will walk away with practical tools they can begin using immediately to make smarter financial decisions. Plus, participants will have the opportunity to receive $5 to jump-start a savings or brokerage account and put what they’ve learned into action.
Three sessions. Real money conversations. Smarter financial moves.
Learn the game. Make your move. Build your future.
