What happens next often depends on what we already believe.
The First Trace introduces a different approach.
Limintrace is a structured method for observing, documenting, and discussing anomalous experience before deciding what caused it or what it means.
This is not a standard ghost hunt.
It is not a séance.
It is not an evening of forced conclusions.
Rather than beginning with:
“Is it a spirit?”
we begin with a more useful question:
“What kind of trace is being reported?”
During this introductory fieldwork evening, Liadán Hallow, The Liminal Linguist, will guide you through the foundations of the Limintrace method.
You will learn how to separate:
Observation → Variables → Interpretation → Claim
You will then put the method into practice inside The Estate Office, using the Limintrace Field Note to document an observation of your own.
The purpose is not to prove or disprove the paranormal. It is to notice more carefully, record more clearly, and make better distinctions between what was experienced and what can reasonably be claimed.
No previous fieldwork experience is required.
You do not need to believe.
You do not need to dismiss.
You only need to be willing to observe, question, and follow the trace.
The evening includes:
• An introduction to the Limintrace approach
• Guided fieldwork inside The Estate Office
• Use of the Limintrace Field Note
• Group discussion and debrief
• A Certificate of Completion
The session is intended for paranormal investigators, spiritual practitioners, folklore enthusiasts, writers, researchers, and curious observers of the strange.

This is an introductory fieldwork session developed and delivered by Liadán Hallow, The Liminal Linguist, at The Institute of Liminology. It is not an externally accredited or Ofqual regulated qualification.
