About this Event
How it works: A hands-on workshop centered on the art of the flatlay: carefully arranging objects and photographing them from above. The Office of Collecting & Design brings a curated case of museum treasures. Participants select objects that speak to them, arrange a composition with guidance, and have their flatlay photographed.
Designed for kids and families, this activity encourages close observation, curiosity, and creative play while inspiring new ways to see and engage with everyday objects. Through the process, participants are invited to reflect on ideas of value, reuse, personal meaning, and memory. Flatlay photographs are available for purchase at $1.00.
We will contact attendees before the event to confirm attendance. Please ensure your contact information is accurate when completing your order.
Please note: This event does not take place inside the Office of Collecting & Design museum. Museum admission is separate, and . Museum tours are available October 21–25, with visits scheduled between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m.
