For over fifty years, humans have sent spacecraft to explore the planet of Mars. From orbit and on the surface, much has been discovered about the "Red Planet". What has been learned, and what new questions have come up? Could there be life on Mars? Join us in the Norton Planetarium for an in-depth exploration of the planet Mars.
After this one-hour show, guests are then invited (weather permitting) to view the meteor shower, planets, and deep space through the observatory's telescopes.
Whether you're a seasoned astronomer or just curious about the cosmos, this event promises to be an unforgettable experience. This event is open to all Lake County families.
7:30-8:30: Planetarium Show
8:30-11:00: Tour of the night sky and telescopes
This event will be hosted by Lake County Office of Education's astronomy expert, Angelo Parisi.
- Children under 5 are free
- Adults are $10 each
- Students are Free
- Families of 4 or more can register for a discounted price together for $5.
