Join us for an accessible and thought-provoking talk exploring the technologies shaping the transition toward a low-carbon future and the realities behind the path to Net Zero.
Led by sustainability expert Ascanio, this session offers a clear and engaging overview of the main technological solutions currently available for the energy transition, examining both their potential and their limitations.
The talk aims to provide practical and understandable insights into the systems and innovations that are already beginning to transform our daily lives, from renewable energy and mobility to home technologies and infrastructure.
During the talk, we will explore:
π The current climate situation and why ecological transition is urgently needed
π The transformation of energy generation systems
π² New technologies for homes, urban mobility, and transportation
π§ Common myths, misinformation, and misunderstandings around climate and energy
The talk will last approximately 45 minutes and will be followed by a 15-minute audience Q&A.
π€ ABOUT THE SPEAKER
Ascanio is a sustainability science expert with over 30 years of experience dedicated to environmental advocacy, climate action, and sustainable innovation.
With a background in aerospace and electronic engineering, he spent 15 years with Greenpeace β including 11 years as a non-violent activist participating in actions across four continents β and later worked as a Climate & Energy Campaigner for Greenpeace and WWF.
He has contributed to sustainability research and innovation projects for the European Commission, founded the consultancy platform Stop CO2, and collaborated on advanced carbon footprint tools for the aviation sector. He also writes and speaks regularly about climate, sustainability, and energy transition.

KINDFIRE is a 10-day eco-artivist exhibition and public programme created by GREENy bastARTs as part of London Climate Action Week 2026.
Positioned as an independent artistic hub for climate dialogue and collective action, KINDFIRE brings together artists, activists, researchers, filmmakers, designers, and communities through exhibitions, workshops, talks, screenings, performances, and participatory events.
All participating artists and speakers commit to being vegan for the entire duration of KINDFIRE.
