The Emotional Load Behind the Parenting
Understanding guilt, expectations, and the invisible work of raising a child
You love your child. You want to do your best for them. But somewhere between managing daily routines, making parenting decisions, navigating family expectations, and trying to get everything right, parenting can begin to feel like a lot to carry.
And often, the hardest part is not just what you do. It is everything you have to remember, anticipate, decide, and manage, much of which goes unnoticed.
Have you ever felt guilty for taking time for yourself? Have you ever felt overwhelmed by conflicting parenting advice? Have you felt responsible for keeping everything running smoothly at home? Or wondered why asking for help feels harder than doing everything yourself?
You are not alone in these experiences.
Join us for The Emotional Load Behind the Parenting, an interactive workshop that creates space to look beyond parenting techniques and explore the emotional and mental responsibilities that shape our parenting experience.
Through guided reflection and practical activities, we will explore how inherited beliefs, family expectations, invisible responsibilities, information overload, and guilt shape how we parent.
What will you take away?
- Recognize inherited beliefs: Reflect on the expectations you carry about what makes a good parent.
- Make the invisible visible: Identify the mental load involved in planning, remembering, anticipating, and managing family life.
- Understand your guilt: Explore the expectations behind parental guilt and the pressure to do everything right.
- Filter the noise: Learn to approach conflicting parenting advice with greater clarity and intention.
- Explore shared responsibility: Identify practical opportunities to ask for support, delegate tasks, and communicate boundaries.
- Choose one small change: Leave with a practical action to experiment with in your everyday life.
- And a sound healing session at the end of the workshop.
Who is this workshop for?
Parents who love their children but sometimes feel stretched by parenting demands. It is especially relevant for parents of young children who are balancing caregiving, work, relationships, household responsibilities, and expectations from family or society.
You do not need to have everything figured out. You do not need to share personal experiences unless you feel comfortable. This is a space to reflect, learn, and discover small, realistic ways to make parenting feel more manageable.
