This extraordinary group opened for Sting in June 2022 in front of 15,000 people. Steve Hackett (Genesis guitarist) has championed them since 2010, even recording on their second album in 2015. They have won the Classic Rock Society’s Best Overseas Band Award. Across Europe they travel with their theatrical rock show, dazzling audiences, transcending genres, and earning unanimous praise wherever they perform.
THE EMERALD DAWN are a multi-award-winning, multi-instrumentalist, symphonic/eclectic art rock quartet, who combine elements from rock, classical music, jazz, folk and world music to produce their own original, distinctive and exciting sound—a sound that is cinematic, epic, experimental and powerful. Usually haunting, often beautifully melodic and always highly atmospheric, the music of The Emerald Dawn paints images or tells stories that stimulate the imagination and takes the listener on unforgettable musical journeys.
Twice voted one of the Top Ten Bands in the Prog Magazine Annual Readers' Poll, The Emerald Dawn have headlined Prog the Forest (London), the Soundle Music Festival (Peterborough), and Danfest (Leicester). The band have also performed at the XIII Art Rock Festival in Reichenbach im Vogtland, Germany. This year they will be performing at Crescendo, the 26th International Prog Rock Festival, at Saint-Palais-sur-Mer, France.
The Emerald Dawn comprises: Tree Stewart (keyboards, flute, HandSonic, 12-string acoustic guitar, and vocals); Ally Carter (guitar, tenor & soprano saxophones, and keyboards); David Greenaway (6-string fretted & fretless bass); and Tom Jackson (drums).
