"The Doodads are fronted by guitarist/singer Ron Tabuteau, who has been playing the blues all over the country since the 1970's, & has recently relocated to the Grampians region.
A member of Adelaide blues band Smokestack Lightning, he next moved to Sydney & became a member of the legendary Foreday Riders. On return to South Australia, he played with a number of local bands before moving to Melbourne in 1980 where he teamed up with Kerri Simpson, the Hoochie Coochie Boys & Chris Wilson amongst others. Eventually he formed his own band - Chicken Head.
Since moving to the area, he has met and formed a duo with local harmonica player Marcus "Sparky" Thomson playing acoustic blues.
This has led to the formation of the Doodads with Sparky, and the band Tim Lewis on bass, & James "Emu" McMurtrie on drums, a band that is great to dance & party to, or equally good to listen to & lose your blues....."
