About this Event
The day begins at 10:00 a.m. with a special sermon by the Rev. Dr. Rebecca Pugh of First Church in Ipswich, UCC.
At 11:00 a.m., the community event begins on Meeting House Green with live music, food, historical displays, activities, and opportunities to explore the story of the Devils Footprint.
At 12:00 p.m., join us for a community discussion panel exploring the history, folklore, and 2026 theme, Revolution.
From 1:00 to 2:00 p.m., enjoy live music, visit displays, explore the footprint, and take part in creative activities, including making your own Ipswich townsperson puppet.
At 2:00 p.m., selected writers from the 2026 Writing Competition will share new work inspired by the theme, Revolution.
From 3:00 to 4:00 p.m., youth performers take over the puppet stage for the Devils Footprint Puppet Show, with different teams creating their own versions of the Ipswich legend.
From 4:00 to 5:00 p.m., the afternoon continues with live music, conversation, food, and a final chance to explore the event before closing at 5:00 p.m.
