Psychic Mediums & Law Enforcement: A True Crime Discussion at Devil’s Tree
Oak Hammock Park
Port Saint Lucie, Florida
Oct 4th
2pm
Tickets $25
Join us at the Devil’s Tree in Port St. Lucie for an afternoon exploring the intersection of true crime, psychic mediumship, and investigative work.
Using the crimes associated with serial killer Gerard Schaefer as our central case study, we’ll examine the known facts of the case and the history surrounding Devil’s Tree while discussing a question that has fascinated investigators and the public for decades: What role can psychic mediums play in criminal investigations?
We’ll talk about how psychic mediums train to approach missing-person, homicide, and other investigative cases; the techniques used to gather and document impressions; the importance of separating intuitive information from known facts; and how information may be communicated to law enforcement without interfering with an investigation.
We’ll also discuss the realities and limitations of this work—including the difference between psychic information and evidence, ethical responsibilities when working with victims and families, and why mediumship should complement rather than replace conventional investigative methods.
Then we’ll turn our attention to Gerard Schaefer, his crimes, and the history of Devil’s Tree itself, separating documented facts from the legends that have grown around the location.
