The Descent is one of Yorkshire's fastest and most enjoyable 10Ks... and yes, it's downhill all the way.Starting high on the open roads of Scammonden and finishing over 300 metres lower in West Vale, this unique point-to-point road race combines stunning views, fast tarmac and a finish you'll remember.
Whether you're chasing a personal best or simply looking for a fun, friendly evening race, The Descent is suitable for runners of all abilities.
On event evening, registration takes place at the finish between 18:00 and 18:50, before everyone boards the coach at 19:00. We head to the top... and as soon as we arrive, you simply run back down to the finish.
Start high. Finish low. Let gravity do the rest.
This is a 100-place event and it has sold out in consecutive years, so we'd recommend securing your place early.
