She possessed a rare ability to make people feel seen, valued, and loved. She never forgot where she came from and dedicated much of her life to giving back. Through the Dollywood Foundation and her Imagination Library, she helped inspire a lifelong love of reading in children around the world, sharing hundreds of millions of books with families and leaving an immeasurable mark on generations to come.
She did so much amazing work through her life, and the Imagination Library particularly was an important one for us. (our own children received books from it!), and we'd like to help in our small way to keep that dream alive.
The weekend of Friday, September 25th The Deck Box will be hosting a charity event here at the store.
We are gonna be opening the store early (at 9am!) all weekend to celebrate!
And 10 percent of all sales at the store the entire weekend will be donated to the Imagination Library. We'll also be hosting dollar-entry Commander Pods all day on Friday the 25th where 100% of the entries will be donated. Since it's Reality Fracture Prerelease that weekend, we'll be donating 10% of all of those entries regardless of when you do your preregistration (so it still counts even if you purchase it early!) We'll also have events for the other games so they can participate as well!
We'll be building on this event, adding more games, and working on more ways to contribute in the next week or two, so stay tuned for updates!
