About this Event
The Courage to Be Human
Maintaining Mental and Emotional Well-Being, Encouraging Human Connection and Awareness
What does it mean to understand ourselves more deeply, navigate our emotional experiences and develop meaningful connections with others?
Join us for The Courage to Be Human, an independent public educational event held in the historic Council Chamber at Oxford Town Hall, bringing together psychological understanding, practical insights and opportunities for thoughtful human connection.
Hosted and presented by Indre Kirklyte, Integrative Psychological Coach, this evidence-informed presentation will explore the importance of mental and emotional well-being, self-awareness and the fundamental human needs that connect us, despite our different backgrounds, personalities and life experiences.

Throughout the afternoon, we will explore:
- Psychological insights into human emotions, behaviour and everyday experiences.
- The importance of self-awareness, emotional regulation and an empathetic attitude towards ourselves and others.
- Practical approaches to self-care, including reflective journaling and exercises that can support emotional well-being.
- The value of safe, meaningful human connections and mutual understanding.
- Opportunities for audience questions, reflections and informal conversations.
