An informal, sit-and-sip wine class at Patti’s Place — three Grenache-led reds, three appellations, one table.About this Event
Pull up a chair. The Corkboard Sessions is our new Saturday wine series at Patti’s Place — no slides, no quizzes, no sommelier voice. Just Jaclyn and Dustin sharing their passion for wine...pouring, tasting, and talking through wines with you at the table.
For our first session we’re heading to the Southern Rhône, where the name on the label tells you almost everything — if you know how to read it. We’ll taste our way up the ladder, one appellation at a time:
🍷 Côtes du Rhône — Alain Jaume “Les Champauvins” 2024. Grown three meters outside the Châteauneuf line, on the same stones. The “baby Châteauneuf.”
🍷 Vacqueyras — Domaine La Roubine 2023. A village that earned its own appellation, and tastes like it. Dark, savory, built for the table.
🍷 Châteauneuf-du-Pape — Domaine Berthet-Rayne 2021. The famous one, from a cooler vintage that shows its elegant side.
All three are Grenache-based blends from organic estates, so what changes in your glass is the place — not the grape. We’ll talk about the galets roulés, the Mistral, why Châteauneuf allows 13 grapes, and how to pick a great Rhône for $30 without guessing.
Small bites from the Patti’s Place kitchen are included. Every wine poured is available to take home at a class-day discount.
