The Fall Chess Guild & Weekly Chess ClubWednesday evenings at The Eldritch Bastion, Ashland
Six weeks, Oct 7 – Nov 11
Adventurers of every level, you're invited! Whether you've never touched a chess piece or you're hunting for rated games, there's a seat at the table for you this fall.
The program is led by FIDE Master Carl Boor, a three-time state champion who is among the nation's top 50 blitz players. He's assisted by Kelly Boor, the top-rated female online action player in the United States.
5:00–6:00 PM: The Chess Guild
A friendly class for total beginners and improving players of every age. We'll do lessons and workshops on openings, tactics and endgames, then leave time to play and make friends.
6:00–7:30 PM: Club & Ladder
Open play plus a season-long ladder. You play one rated game each week at Game/30 (30 minutes per player), then we review it and talk chess. Climb the standings, or just drop in when you can.
