Christopher Ridgway is Head Curator at Castle Howard where he has worked since 1983.
He has lectured and written widely on the house, its collections and landscapes, and in 2025 published Castle Howard, A Grand Tour through England's Finest Country House (Flammarion Press).
He will talk about the history of the house and the landscape before discussing how Castle Howard operates today as a 21st-century business and a major UK heritage attraction of world fame, facing a multitude of challenges not least of which is the ongoing challenge of restoration.
