The Buddy Holly Experience brings rock ’n’ roll classics to Toales
Toales Live Venue will roll back the years on Friday, 2 October, when The Buddy Holly Experience brings the timeless music of Buddy Holly and The Crickets to Dundalk.
Led by 2014 Voice of Ireland winner Brendan McCahey, the live show captures the energy, charm and unmistakable sound of one of rock ’n’ roll’s most influential pioneers. McCahey and his band recreate everything from Holly’s trademark hiccupping vocals and bright Stratocaster riffs to the tender arrangements of his later recordings.
Audiences can expect a packed set of classics including Peggy Sue, That’ll Be the Day, Rave On, It’s So Easy, Brown Eyed Handsome Man and True Love Ways, alongside early rockabilly favourites such as Listen to Me.
A seasoned singer, musician and performer, McCahey was crowned winner of The Voice of Ireland under the guidance of Bressie and has since toured extensively with his own music and live productions. His Buddy Holly show has appeared at venues across Ireland, earning praise for its energy, precision and affection for the original material. The Source Arts Centre
