The British International Amateur Film Festival (BIAFF) is the UK's biggest film festival for amateur filmmaking.Spanning eight days, the festival includes:

Online evening cinemas - screenings of selected films from this year's competition.
The IAC Peter Coles International AV Competition, Winners' Show - a collection of the best AV sequences from this year’s internationally renowned AV competition.
Our in-theatre event at the Crescent Theatre, Birmingham (Saturday 23rd to Bank Holiday Monday 25th May):
The Saturday Evening Cinema PLUS networking event (Saturday 23rd May) - BIAFF 2026 launches its in-theatre weekend of screenings from this year’s competition. Stay around afterwards for networking and socialising in the theatre bar – and don’t forget to order fish and chips!
The Sunday Cinema (Sunday 24th May) - an all-day cinema presenting more films entered into this year's competition.
The BIAFF Festival Dinner and Awards Show (Sunday 24th May) – join us for a delightful evening at the Novotel Hotel for our Festival Dinner and Category Award Winners! Dress to impress and enjoy a delicious dinner while discovering who has triumphed in our BIAFF category awards. With surprises as standard, it promises to be a night filled with excitement and celebration!
The Award Winners' Show (Monday 25th May) – this is peak BIAFF! Screening the very best films in the Festival, including our Diamond and category award winners, and announcing the winners of our major awards: The Best British Young Filmmaker, The Best British Entry, and The Best in Competition. A Bank Holiday not to be missed.
With opportunities to watch great films and to meet and network with filmmakers from around the UK and beyond, this is a film festival like no other.
Access to the online shows is free of charge, via Zoom. Festival entrants and IAC members will receive link details directly.
