Shake off the winter blues and kickstart your year with the perfect blend of live music, dancing, laughter and lots of fun.
About this Event

The Brim Ceilidh Band's iconic Hangover Ceilidh returns to The Falmouth Hotel including a special pre‑ceilidh concert from award winning Celtic/folk singer-songwriter, Annie Baylis.

The perfect recipe for a lively, laughter‑filled night of music, dancing and new year cheer with The Brim 5 piece BIG Band - Full to the brim!

The Falmouth Hotel will once again be host to this year's event in its main dining room suite at the front of the hotel, overlooking Falmouth Bay. No ceilidh dancing experience is necessary as all the dances will be led by our expert caller Kate Smith and will include a mix of traditional and contemporary ceilidh dances from Scotland, Ireland, Cornwall and beyond.

Whether it’s your first ceilidh or your fiftieth, everyone’s welcome. No experience needed as all dances are taught as we go.

Get tickets early to benefit from 'Early Bird' prices but also to avoid disappointment as previous years have sold out.

Ceilidh Start Time: 20:15 Duration: 3 hours – MAIN EVENT (Included in all ticket types)

PRE-CEILIDH CONCERT with the 'ANNIE BAYLIS BAND'

To get you all in the mood for the main event, this is a must attend part of the evening and included within all ticket prices.

Award winning local singer-songwriter Annie Baylis will be celebrating the release of her debut album “Gift in Doubt” which was released in late 2026 and features collaborations with internationally renowned folk musicians including Calum Stewart, Kathleen MacInnes, and Jamie Francis. Annie will be showcasing some of her songs and tunes with a 30 minute concert featuring Lukas Drinkwater, Alan Pengelly and John Gray - musicians from The Brim Ceilidh Band.

Annie Baylis brings a vibrant, modern edge to Celtic folk, pairing heartfelt songwriting with energetic fiddle‑driven arrangements. Her songs are uplifting, honest and full of connection. Not to be missed!

WHAT IS A CEILIDH ('kay-lee')?

Originating from Scotland, Ceilidhs are widely becoming very popular for wedding receptions, birthday parties and other celebrations and events, particularly here in Cornwall where we are regularly in demand. For those that have not been to one or even heard of the them they are immensely fun, sociable and energetic and great for all that are willing to try something new!

Feel free to come alone too as it is likely there are many others that have come solo and looking for a dance partner.

Please go to www.brimceilidh.co.uk where you can learn more about who we are and what you can expect at one of our ceilidhs by checking out the media page.
