The Briefings, A National School Safety SymposiumOn September 27th, 2006, Emily Keyes lost her life at Platte Canyon High School in Bailey, CO. In the aftermath of that tragedy, a simple text message, "I love u guys," gave a voice to the movement that has helped shape school and community safety efforts across the country and around the world.
Now, on the 20th yearmark, we are heading back to Colorado to honor Emily’s legacy, reflect on how far we’ve come, and explore where school and community safety goes next.
Join us in Arvada, CO on October 13th-15th for The Briefings Symposium. Three days of meaningful conversations, impactful learning and collaboration focused on creating safer schools and communities.
Together, we’ll explore the evolution of crisis response and recovery over the last two decades, the impact of programs like the Standard Response Protocol (SRP) and Standard Reunification Method (SRM), and the people, partnerships and practices that help move the safety needle forward.
The Briefings Symposium is not your average conference. It's where leaders, practitioners, change-makers, and explorers come together to share their knowledge and experience, exchange actionable ideas and leave empowered to make a difference.
Creating safer schools and communities takes all of us. Be part of the mission at the Briefings Symposium.
