About this Event
Join The Big Garden Makeover – Community Action Day for an in-person community event. Let’s get together and make a difference!
🌱 DIY SOS: COMMUNITY CALL – WE NEED YOUR HELP TO TRANSFORM OUR NEW INDOOR SPACE & REFRESH OUR OUTDOOR AREA! 🛠️
We’re putting a BIG shout-out to our wonderful community to help us transform and improve Parc Dewi Sant Wellbeing Gardens – and we’d love you to get involved!
On Sunday 22nd November, between 9am and 4pm, we’re bringing together volunteers, local businesses, tradespeople, families and community members for a special DIY SOS Community Day.
Our Wellbeing Gardens is a volunteer-led, not-for-profit Community Interest Company (CIC) creating a welcoming and inclusive space where people can connect, volunteer, learn, grow food, spend time outdoors and support their wellbeing.
As the project continues to grow, so does the list of jobs we need some help with!
🛠️ Can you lend a hand?
We would particularly love to hear from builders, electricians, plumbers, carpenters and other tradespeople who may be willing to donate a few hours of their time and skills.
We’d also be incredibly grateful to any local businesses or suppliers who may be able to donate or supply materials, equipment or products to help with the improvements.
But you don't need to have a trade to get involved!
There will be plenty of jobs for willing volunteers, from gardening, clearing, tidying and painting to moving materials and generally getting stuck in. Whether you can give us an hour, a morning, an afternoon or the whole day, every bit of help will make a difference. 💚
☕ We'll keep you going!
There will be refreshments and snacks throughout the day, so come along, meet some lovely people, enjoy the fresh air and help us create something special for our community.
There is no charge to take part – just book your free place so we have an idea of numbers.
