The Big Five: Preschool Training

Audience: Preschool teachers, early learning providers, childcare staff, site directors, administrators, and other early childhood education professionals.
Breakfast and Lunch Provided
This full-day training is designed specifically for preschool teachers and early learning providers to build confidence and preparedness in responding to emergencies and safety-related situations involving young children.
Participants will receive an overview of The Big Five, including hazard responses, trauma-informed and inclusive practices, student release and reunification guidance, and Incident Command Structure. The training will focus on practical strategies for supporting young children during emergencies while maintaining a safe, calm, and developmentally appropriate environment.
Throughout the day, participants will have opportunities to collaborate with colleagues, strengthen emergency response protocols, and work through tabletop scenarios relevant to preschool and early learning settings.
