The Big Concert
Gramophone Award-winning ensemble La Serenissima has been ‘whipping up a storm with Vivaldi’ (The Telegraph) since 1994; the ensemble, based in Gloucester, has topped the UK Classical Chart & has over 1 million listeners on Spotify. Their music features in film (Portrait of a Lady on Fire), advertising (Beats, Prada, Versace) & radio (BBC Radio 3 ‘Building a Library’).
The Chorister Bursary Fund is a vital part of life for choristers if further financial assistance is needed beyond their choral scholarship. Means-tested bursaries ensure that talented children from a wide variety of backgrounds can access the academic and musical education of the school and cathedral. Not only does this provide support for the pupils, but it also ensures that Gloucester’s centuries-old music tradition continues to be accessible to talented children across the region - today and in the future.
All proceeds from The Big Concert go to supporting The Bursary Fund.
