3 days of dance workshops with Sadie Marquadt, Kami Liddle, Izabela Salimpour, Dytto, Ebony, Zoe Jakes, and Pixie Fordtears on January 15th, 16th and 17th and 3 days of shows!
Open stage Performances 5 pm to 10 pm Sunday Jan 18th with sign ups open to anyone that has signed up for workshops, first come, first scheduled. General public $15-$20 admission. Email to sign up below.
Zoe Jakes House of Tarot with be presented on Friday and Saturday night, tickets $35-$45 Sliding Scale admission
Vending all day Saturday and Sunday! We will be surrounded by beauty as Foolproof designs and Melodia Designs (more TBA) will be selling their wares!
We have a new venue! We will miss Spire but we will be moving into a dance studio with mirrors and a glorious flat floor (iykyk) with a theater too! All classes and shows will be in downtown Berkeley at 2055 center st., the new Shawl Anderson venue.

Friday 3 hour mini intensive with Sadie Marquadt $80-$90 (smaller class size)
All Saturday and Sunday 2 hour workshops are $45-$60 Sliding Scale. Online ticket sales end 11:30 pm January 15th. If there is room cash is accepted at the door (most workshops will sell out in advance). When purchasing workshop tickets please pay at least $45 anything less will be refunded.

Wildcard Fusion: Beyond the Expected
In this exploration of Ebony’s signature style, we’ll embrace the unexpected and play with a range of what bellydance fusion can be. Drawing from the commanding presence of raqs sharqi, the energy of urban styles and Ebony’s love of musicality and creative expression, we’ll explore movement that can be powerful, playful, subtle, slinky, or anything in between.Expect contrasts, surprises, and a combination that challenges you to expand your movement vocabulary and embrace your own versatility. Dance shoes recommended, but not required.

Iron & Ember
A dynamic choreography. Slathered with gooey movement, crisp attacks, and delicious recoil. You will learn some of Pixie’s signature style from her cross training and how she integrates it into her dance, and will see how she hears music through movement! This choreography will be aimed for Intermediate, but beginners are more than welcome!

Join Izabela Salimpour for a belly dance workshop centered on technique, education, and sharpening your movement so you have more freedom to improvise, explore, and develop your own style.
The workshop will begin with a full-body warm-up before moving into focused drills emphasizing isolations, control, precision, and coordination. Izabela will break down technique while giving dancers tools to strengthen and refine their movement vocabulary without losing individuality or freedom of expression.
We’ll finish by bringing these concepts together in a combination, giving dancers the opportunity to apply the technique, explore musicality, and make the movement their own.

SADIE’S SIGNATURE COMBINATIONS
This workshop will dive into a collection of Sadie’s signature combinations and drills. We’ll explore a variety of styles while breaking down the details that bring each combination to life, from musicality and transitions totexture, dynamics, and expression.
All levels welcome.

Veiled Currents :: The Darker Side of the Veil
Step into a world of swirling fabric, fluid transitions, and expressive storytelling through veil work. In this workshop, we’ll explore how to use the veil as both an extension of the body and a dynamic partner in motion. Through guided technique, we’ll refine pathways, entrances, directional changes, and sustained momentum that allow the veil to feel weightless and alive. You’ll learn how to generate power without tension, glide through turns, and create seamless wraps, releases, and dramatic reveals.
As we move, we’ll experiment with musical interpretation, texture, and the emotional tone the veil can bring to your dance. The workshop will culminate in a short phrase that integrates the techniques and concepts explored, offering dancers practical tools for dancing with grace, confidence, and expressive depth. There will be veils available to borrow for class if you do not have one.
3:45-5:45 Jill Parker (2 hours $45-$60)
Embodied Elegance: Cultivating Clarity, Imbuing Expression, Emphasizing Artistry with Jill Parker
This immersive workshop is a dynamic exploration of movement and fusion bellydance concepts—where precision, nuance, and artistry come together to deepen technique and expand creative expression.
Through focused drills and thoughtfully crafted movement combinations, we will slow down to refine movement quality, helping your dance become fluid, expressive, embodied, and uniquely your own.
Jill will share decades of insightful philosophies designed to elevate your dance and unlock the full potential of your movement expression.
You will leave with fresh movement combinations, practical tools for immediate application, and key insights to further enrich your dance and artistic expression.

SUNDAY OPEN STAGE:
All dancers are required to sign up for a minimum of 1 workshop to be a part of the open stage performances. Please purchase your workshop when you submit your application
Info for performing:
Performances 5pm to 10 pm Sunday with sign ups open to everyone that applies, first come, first scheduled.
-Solos get 4 minutes max and troupes get 6 minutes max.
-All performers must sign up for at least one workshop, please do so at the same time that you submit performance application
-submission of application and workshop sign up guarantees spot. We ask that at least 3 members of each group signs up for a workshop. Group size max is 8.
-Sunday admission for all performers is free
