90 years on from ‘The Battle of Cable Street’ in East London it has never been more timely to celebrate and reflect on the courage, community strength and neighbourly unity shown that day, and in similar incidents such as the ‘Battle of South Street’ in Worthing 1934 where Mosley’s British Union of Fascists were also confronted, right up to today, as seen with 'The Battle of Trafalgar Street' in June this year here in Brighton.
I'll be on stage at about 8.45/9ish with prog songsmith Tim Burness opening plus London based Jesus & The Zealots and local folk-punk Dog of Man heading the night.
