The B-Sides
Local father/son musical duo Jake and Jackson Tatar (along with Jake's wife Amy Jessup) expand their repertoire of 70s/80s favorites to a full band format by adding Larry Lister (The Boat Drunks), Ray Wiggs (from former C-U '70s supergroup Appaloosa) on keys, Jack Brighton (PBS, K-Tels) on bass, Jonny Beckett (Candy Foster) on sax to the group! Call it whatever you want - 'Yacht Rock'? Some of that! 'Folk Rock' - sure!. They play a fun mix of recognizable '70s and '80s classics and a few beyond - but all with a piano-forward nod towards vocal harmonies and fun songs that will have you singing along in your head (if not out loud!) If you came up listening to The Midnight Special, SiriusXM 'The Bridge', or anything in between, this group will resonate. Covers include music by The Eagles, Steely Dan, CSN, Jackson Browne, Hootie, Billy Joel, Van Morrison, Hall and Oates, George Benson, Stevie Wonder, and more - as well as a few originals from the Jake's long-standing stint with the The Boat Drunks that you may have heard on SiriusXM 'Radio Margaritaville'. For those FM-listeners, you will catch a few 'B-Side' songs as well!
