Explore the intersection of art, science, and ecology at our next Artist’s Eye talk. Join us Saturday, October 17, at 11 am for a discussion in the galleries with Dallas-based artist Dornith Doherty.
Doherty’s collage-like photographs employ striking design and brilliant color to reveal the hidden structures of the plant world. Beneath their decorative surfaces, they consider such issues as environmental stewardship, the passage of time, and humanity’s evolving relationship with nature.
The artist joins deputy director George T. M. Shackelford for a conversation connecting contemporary practice to works from the Kimbell’s collection.
