About this Event
Join us in Hayward, in the San Francisco Bay Area's East Bay, for a two-hour immersive wellness experience combining essential oils, guided breathing, Guqin and Xiao music, Chinese tea ritual, reflection and participatory sound. Rather than a lecture, concert, or traditional tea ceremony, each guest becomes an active participant across five movements: ARRIVE, AWAKEN, LET GO, REFLECT, RESONATE.
For those drawn to sound meditation, sound baths, tea meditation and sensory wellness experiences, The Art of Tranquility offers a different journey through scent, breath, Guqin, tea, reflection and collective sound.
YOUR TWO-HOUR JOURNEY
ARRIVE — Essential Oils · Breath · Sound
Begin with scent and guided breathing, followed by a shared sound experience with hand drum, Guqin and singing bowl.
AWAKEN — Guqin · Seven Steps of Silent Tea
Listen to Guqin, then prepare and experience tea together through a guided seven-step mindful tea practice.
LET GO — Zuowang · Listening Beyond Sound
Experience the traditional Chinese practice of Zuowang through deep listening and the sounds of Guqin and Xiao.
REFLECT — Tea · Reflection · Sharing
Return to your tea and reflection card for personal reflection and optional sharing.
RESONATE — Rhythm · Voice · Shared Sound
Join a collective experience of rhythm, voice, simple instruments and shared silence.
THIS EXPERIENCE IS FOR YOU IF...
You are curious about mindfulness and meditation, essential oils and aromatherapy, sound meditation, tea and mindful tea practice, Guqin and traditional Chinese music, sensory experiences, slowing down and reconnecting, and meaningful cultural experiences in the Bay Area.
