About this Event
Escape the rush and rediscover the joy of making with your hands. This workshop invites you to embrace "slow stitching"—a meditative process that prioritizes the journey of creation over the speed of the result.
Under expert guidance, you will curate a unique fabric collage panel, experimenting with texture, color, and tactile manipulation. Whether you are a lifelong maker or picking up a needle for the first time, you will leave with a beautifully framed piece of textile art ready to hang.
Key Techniques Covered:
- Boro-Inspired Stitching: The Japanese art of functional beauty and visible repair.
- French Knots: Adding dimensional texture to your work.
- Couching Stitches: A versatile method for securing decorative threads and yarns.
All materials are provided; just bring yourself and your creativity!
