Two Sundays. Two Creative Experiences. One Journey into the Ancient Art of Runes.
Join us at Oakhenge for two hands-on workshops exploring the symbolism, wisdom, and creative traditions of the runes.
In the first workshop, you'll learn the art of rune reading and create your own personal rune set. In the second, you'll take that knowledge into a beautiful fused glass experience, designing a bindrune suncatcher with Tracy from Loewan Glassworks.
Attend either workshop individually or join us for both at a special combined price.
Workshop One: The Art of Rune Reading
Sunday, November 22, 2026 | 10:30–12:45 PM | $70
Have you ever been drawn to the mysterious symbols of the runes? Curious about their meanings or how they can be used for divination?
This beginner-friendly workshop offers an introduction to the Elder Futhark, the ancient Germanic runic alphabet, and its contemporary use as a tool for reflection, intuition, and spiritual exploration.
Together, we'll explore:
- The history and symbolism of the 24 Elder Futhark runes
- Traditional meanings and their interpretations in modern divination
- How to formulate meaningful questions for rune readings
- Simple rune casting methods and layouts
- How to interpret runes individually and in combination
- Creating your very own personal rune set to take home
You'll have the opportunity to practise readings in a supportive environment and leave with a handmade set of runes to continue exploring.
No previous experience is necessary. All rune-making materials are included.
Workshop Two: Fused Glass Bindrune Suncatcher
With Tracy from Loewan Glassworks

Transform the symbolic language of the runes into something beautiful!
In this creative workshop, Tracy from Loewan Glassworks will guide you through designing and creating a fused glass bindrune suncatcher.
Bindrunes combine two or more runic characters into a single design, often used in contemporary spiritual practices to represent a particular intention or meaning.
You'll explore how runes can be combined symbolically, select your colours, and create a unique glass artwork that reflects your personal intention.
Your finished piece will be kiln-fired and made available for collection once ready with an activation ritual you can partake in when you hang it.
No glass-making experience necessary. All materials are included.

Both Workshops: $140 (Save $15)
We recommend attending both workshops for the fullest experience. You'll first learn the language and symbolism of the runes, then use that knowledge to inform the design of your own bindrune artwork.
