Dirty talk can be playful, commanding, affectionate, filthy, teasing, intimidating—or something entirely your own. But finding the words in the moment can be surprisingly difficult. What do you say? How do you know what your partner wants to hear? And how do you get past feeling awkward enough to actually say it?This interactive workshop explores dirty talk as a skill that can be learned, practiced, negotiated, and personalized. We’ll begin with consent and communication, including how to ask for what you want, discover what language is exciting—or off-limits—to a partner, and confidently give and respect a “no.”
From there, we’ll move beyond memorizing sexy phrases and focus on the creativity behind dirty talk: building vocabulary, improvising, responding to your partner, developing confidence, and using words to create a shared fantasy or dynamic. Participants will have opportunities to practice individually, with partners, and in small groups through guided exercises designed for different comfort levels.
We’ll also explore talking _about yourself_ during dirty talk, helping a partner find their own voice, and incorporating kink and power dynamics into verbal play.
Whether you freeze when someone asks, “What do you want?”, already have a filthy vocabulary you'd like to expand, or simply want to become a more confident communicator, this workshop will give you tools to experiment and find a style that feels authentically yours.
Participation in exercises is always optional, and observers are welcome. Some portions of the workshop will discuss consensual non-consent (CNC), degradation, and other potentially sensitive forms of verbal play. These sections will be clearly introduced beforehand so attendees can choose their level of participation.
