About this Event
THE ART OF CLOSING Led by XiomaraWhen: Saturday, November 21st from 3-5 pmUsing Sound in Savasana
A Mini Training for Yoga & Movement Instructors
You plan the flow.
You plan the music.
You plan the cues.
But how much thought do you give to the final few minutes of class?
Savasana is often treated as the point where teaching stops. But those last minutes can be one of the most meaningful parts of the entire experience.
The Art of Closing is a practical, hands-on mini training designed to show yoga and movement instructors how to use simple sound instruments to create a more intentional, grounded and memorable ending to class.
And you do not need a full sound bath setup to make an impact.
Sometimes all it takes is:
One Himalayan singing bowl.
One crystal bowl.
One chime.
Used with the right timing, volume and intention, a single instrument can help guide students from movement into stillness, create an attentional anchor, support the transition into Savasana and bring the class to a more thoughtful close.
LESS SOUND. MORE INTENTION.
This training is not about turning every yoga class into a sound bath.
It is about learning how to introduce one or two simple sound tools into your existing teaching style in a way that feels natural, accessible and easy to implement.
During this mini training, participants will explore:
The role of an intentional Savasana
How sound can support the transition from movement into stillness
How to use sound without overwhelming the room
Himalayan singing bowl fundamentals
Crystal singing bowl fundamentals
Simple chime techniques
Appropriate volume, placement and timing
How to combine sound with silence
How much sound is actually enough
How to reduce unnecessary verbal cueing
How to guide students gradually back from Savasana
Common mistakes when introducing sound into class
Basic sound-safety considerations
You will also learn simple, ready-to-use closing structures for:
5-Minute Savasana
8-Minute Savasana
10-Minute Sound-Integrated Savasana
Built around a simple framework:
ARRIVE → LISTEN → SILENCE → RETURN
Hands-On Learning
This is an experiential training.

The goal is simple:
Leave feeling confident enough to use one instrument intentionally in your very next class.
