Creativity does more than produce great art. It shapes the identity of our communities, brings people together, attracts visitors, sparks new ideas and helps make our towns and regions places people are proud to call home. That's why Benalla Rural City Council is hosting The Art of Change Conference on Thursday 12 November.
This one-day event brings together artists, creatives, community arts groups, cultural leaders, galleries, tourism professionals and community builders from across regional Victoria for a day of inspiration, conversation and connection.
Featuring a diverse lineup of speakers including Sophie Lieberman, founder of REGENERATE, Craig A. Limkin PSM from A New Approach, Jo Porter, CEO of Regional Arts Victoria, Bess Nolan-Cook, CEO of Tourism North East, Renew Australia and leaders from some of Victoria's most respected regional galleries and cultural organisations, the conference will explore the role creativity plays in shaping thriving communities and vibrant places.
Whether you're a professional artist, an emerging creative, part of a community arts group or simply passionate about culture and creativity, this conference is an opportunity to be part of an important conversation about the future of regional Victoria.
You'll hear inspiring stories, discover innovative projects, make valuable connections and explore how artists and creatives are helping communities navigate change, strengthen identity and create meaningful impact.
Most importantly, you'll be joining a conversation where the voices of artists, creatives and community members matter. Because without creativity there is no culture, without artists there are no stories to tell, and without communities there are no places for those stories to flourish.
Book now for this free event. Join fellow artists, creatives and community leaders from across regional Victoria for a day of ideas, inspiration and meaningful connection.
