Join Magnum Chorum for The American Road, a rich musical mosaic exploring our American heritage and calling us to find unity through works from our shared experience. You’ll hear the shimmering 23rd Psalm composed by Bobby McFerrin in tribute to his mother and poignant excerpts from The American Road by Shawn Okpebholo setting stories and melodies from our complex history and center themes of sacrifice, resilience and hope. From Minnesota, we sing of boundless miracles in daily life in Kyle Pederson’s mesmerizing All is Miracle, journey through a dream in Edie Hill’s Marvellous Error, and know of God’s constant presence in the serene Prayer of Saint Patrick by Kornelis. With music by Parker, Hogan, Shaw and Moore, come and join us as we mark our nation’s 250th birthday.
