About this Event

Welcome to The United States of America.

Please have all documents prepared for the officer.

In a small room, a man (played by Ashwath Ram) must pass the elaborate tests of the officer (played by Gia Ochsenbein) to enter his new country. He will be humiliated, denigrated, mutilated, and assimilated. To outlast the trials means admittance to this nation, but admittance is not a concept so easily understood.

Devised by Ashwath Ram and Gia Ochsenbein, The Airport is designed to reflect on the unique experiences of both performers through movement, articles, anecdotes, and violence. Melding elements of American nostalgia with unsettling and sometimes horrifying moments of struggle, The Airport seeks to capitalize on the distinct voices of Ash and Gia to present an electric and thought-provoking piece of modern theatre.

The Airport is being performed at The Reef from December 13-15 at 7:00pm. Admission is free but seating is limited, be sure to RSVP before all performances reach capacity.

CONTENT WARNING: This performance contains acts of simulated violence and bloodshed. This performance is intended for a mature audience.
