Meet the songwriters!
Gudfare
I’ve always been drawn to writing – small poems, contrasts, rhythmic sentences. I’ve also almost always played the guitar, mostly for my own enjoyment as a favorite timestealer. In 2022, I had the idea to combine these passions – I know, mind-blowing!
I called it Gudfare, as an alterego for hiding stagefright, but that’s another story.
The Danish language has about a third of the words compared to English. While English might allow for more precision, Danish sometimes conveys more with less. It’s about what’s said between the lines, the implied, the felt but not spoken. An English proverb ironicly captures this
"Less is more."
When I write a song, it needs to resonate with me. I need to connect emotionaly to it, and i can be quite critical on what is finished. But suddenly, I found myself on stage, performing songs that moved me – and sometimes those who listened. Even though it’s my song, written words, the interpretation can vary, and isnt mine alone anymore. I find that very interesting.
